The Salesforce1 mobile app helps users get real-time access to their CRM system. The app is available for iOS and Android phones and as a mobile browser app for Windows-operated phones.
Salesforce1 organizes the information in a way that best helps users working on the go. They can work between customer meetings, waiting in line, or commuting somewhere. The app includes many of the customizations their organization uses and enables them to review details, update data, and create new records from their phones.
Salesforce1 provides all the tool a user need to close sales and manage their day when outside the office, from completing basic actions, to collaborating with colleagues, finding information, and managing relationships and data.
A user working in Salesforce1 will have access to:
- A Chatter feed to have conversations around data
- The Today app, where users can review account and contact information before meetings, join conference calls, and log notes about events
- Notes, tasks, their Salesforce calendar, dashboards and apps, and their company's custom apps
- 26 “Objects” (a Salesforce term for a database table) such as Accounts, Assets, and Campaigns
- Help for Salesforce1
In many fields and objects, users can make edits directly from the mobile platform. However, users should note that some objects are view only in the Salesforce1 app.
