SalesforceIQ is a subsidiary of Salesforce.com, a powerhouse CRM and one of the first Software As A Service companies. Salesforce acquired the company RelateIQ in 2014 and has since been providing SalesforceIQ as a lightweight, user-friendly CRM solution for small businesses.
Some of SalesforceIQ's main features include:
- Sales data automation
- Built-in collaboration
- Sales Reporting
- Pipeline reporting
- Activity reporting
- Mobile apps for iPhone and Android
SalesforceIQ's “Closest Connections” feature is particularly useful for simplifying the time-consuming and potentially error-prone process of prospecting leads. On a potential lead's profile page, SalesforceIQ will show you the person in your company who has the closest personal connection with that lead based on information in professional emails, calendars, and other networks like Facebook and LinkedIn. This helps a team make more genuine, warm introductions.
Other features that can be very beneficial to a startup include:
- The ability to automatically pull information from professional communication sources and give reminders and suggestions to team members
- The ability to set up in minutes by simply connecting to email
- The option to work within the product interface, in your inbox, or on your phone
Another benefit of using SalesforceIQ as a CRM is that the user gets access to the resources of an enterprise software company for a startup price. The Starter plan starts at $25/user/month, billed annually, and accommodates up to five users and one list. A team may also select the Growth plan at $75/user/month, billed annually, which includes unlimited users and lists. The largest plan, the Business plan, is $125/month, billed annually.
SalesforceIQ is specifically designed for small teams, so it is ideal for startups but may be limiting to a team as it grows very large. However, a team that outgrows SalesforceIQ but likes working with Salesforce can switch to using one of Salesforce's other cloud CRM tools that are designed for enterprise teams.
